I know, it's so disheartening when you hear about people who wrote their first novel aged 14 or 15.... It was fine when I was younger than them, I just had time to develop, but now I'm 17, I haven't got a leg to stand on.... Everytime we hear about these child prodigies, my mum goes 'when are you going to write your novel/ win your Oscar/ get your recording contract/ etc?

Oh, I so feel your pain, only I'm the one berating myself. Some people are geniuses, some are not. Although this fact, among other things, might inspire me to actually start writing.

And 17 is a fine age to start doing something amazing. :D

I totally agree. when i published some of my work my mom is always naggin that i should keep writting.she insists i write more poetry or another novel.im onlt 16 i can only do so much DAMN "passes out"
