so i had prodromal labor for close to two weeks. i would have contractions that lasted 60 seconds, and were 3-5 minutes apart for four to five hour stretches. my cervix would dilate and thin during these times, but then i would stop ( Read more... )

No damage to anyone from the IUD? Wonderful!!!

I've been lightyears away from my envisioned birth--waterbirth with midwives using hypnobirthing. *sigh* Right now I'd stand on my head for the next 3 weeks if that is what they said I needed to do.

oh that's wonderful, mama. i'm so glad you are happy with how the birth went and that the big sisters were there and everyone is home and healthy. yay!

congrats on that beautiful baby. Those pictures are precious. I would never suggest anyone have a medication free birth if being induced :) It's just not natural pain. (((hugs))) I'm sorry you didn't get your homebirth. You are very smart and strong. What a beautiful time it is now to welcome a new baby! Enjoy it :)
