This is so... I don't even have the words for it, but it's perfect. There are so many emotions that are expressed and not expressed in so many different ways - verbally, with actions, without - and it still manages to be an exact blend of bittersweet. I especially adore how close they all are, how easy it is to fall into that role of comforting each other, and I really think you captured the essence of family, which is amazing because Nick and Adam weren't initially part of the Novaks, but reading this shows no inkling of that. I just... I love it; I love your writing. ♥

These guys are bittersweet in their own way, so it's how I had to write them. I'm sure that once everything is over, these guys quite likely to latch onto anyone who'd be there for them, and try to return the favour sevenfold. And I'm pretty sure especially after what Amelia and Claire have been through, the ones waiting for someone to come home, they won't turn away people like Nick and Adam who went through the same thing Jimmy did, but have no one to come home too. So yes, no one knows how Nick and Adam turned up there (Chuck did it) but Amelia and Claire have adopted and are keeping them. And Jimmy can't really find a reason not too, because he wanted to adopt them too anyway.

Hey, Supernatural. You need shit like this. You can't break our hearts if your show doesn't have one. Take a break from making Sam and Dean increasingly unlikable by repeating their plotlines over and over again and give us nice, happy moments, or at least hopeful ones, like this. Trust me-- a little lightness goes a long way in providing effective contrast. A neverending sea of bleak is not really something I want to watch. :/
