[Alright, so Sai has been in a pretty good mood recently. School has not been too bad, but most importantly he has not been feeling lonely. He and Gaara have, well, let's just say they have been spending a lot of time in each other's company. It has been a huge relief for Sai, finding somebody who he can relate too, and doesn't really seem to mind if he has a screwed up understanding of the world.]
[Then there is Hinata, she is really sweet, and Sai would definitely like to think of her as his second friend. Even Ino and Temari have their nice moments at times also]
[So, upon passing a
certain book in the library, Sai got to thinking. He had never really had any friends before now, and in the past he had only had his brother to talk to. But with everything that has been happening recently, he is starting to understand why people will go out of their way to create friendships with people. Perhaps he should try to make an effort to do the same?]
[Which is why you can now find him, sat against the wall of a hallway, reading the book.]
"1. Find some potential friends.
2. Invite potential friends to do something with you
3. Don't be overly picky about who you hang out with at first
4. Be persistent and try not to get discouraged by setbacks too easily
5. Listen to people!
6. Don’t be afraid to ask about something more personal, but be gentle and careful
7. Compliment people's clothes, hair, eyes, etc.
8. Become genuinely interested in other people.
9. Smile!
10.The use of nicknames can show affection and friendship.
11.Talk in terms of the other person's interest.
12.Make the other person feel important - and do it sincerely."
....
[Sai closes the book, with a sigh. This is all very confusing. Perhaps this wasn't such a good idea after all.]
