Quake/Tsunami
I'm worried right now. I'm sure everyone of you heard of it already - there has been an 8.9 earthquake in Japan, causing not only one of the worst natural disasters in Japan in the last 140 years, but also causing a tsunami that has hit Japan, Hawaii and apparently just hit California. There are nuclear power plants in emergency states, the death toll so far is apparently somewhere between 300 and 400. No heavy damage is known from Hawaii so far, but they say the extent of damage can't be judged yet, same goes for California.
I'm worried sick. There are people I know who are in Japan currently, people I know who are in California, and I wish I'd hear word from those who haven't tweeted/posted on LJ yet. I'm worried for everyone I know no matter if we're on good terms or not, I'm worried for everyone I don't know who is affected by this as well. I'm kinda glad to know that fandom-wise, all bandmembers of the bands I'm following are okay, but to be honest that knowledge pales in comparison to not knowing about other people who mean so much more to me. Wherever you guys are, I hope you are okay...
No matter how busy you are, no matter how much this affects you, please take a moment to send your thoughts and prayers to Japan, and to all the other regions that are getting hit.
