I'm so sorry that I've been missing in action for the longest time- real life has been taking over, and school and uni applications have been taking up the majority of my time; but now that winter break is here I finally have a few moments to breathe. And some time to picspam one of my favorite ships for
picspammy 's Fives challenge.Apologies for the not so great coloring, my laptop which had Photoshop crashed so I've had to make do with other resources...
I've titled it defining moments rather than scenes, because I have far too many favorite scenes of them to do just a top 5! Might do another picspam sometime later of their little moments, which are equally adorable. Picking even 5 defining moments was difficult, and they're ordered chronologically rather than ranked. Well, apart from the last scene, which is first for me. Hope you enjoy!
Day 2: Something's been hanging between us
Tony: So, uh, what are we saying here? That if we save LA from a nuclear bomb then you and I can get together for dinner and a movie? Is that it?
This scene is adorable. I love how the two play off each other and the body language and how Michelle just seized the moment. This, after all, is where it all began...
Day 2: The Kiss
Michelle: I'm sorry. I'm sorry.
Again, I loved this scene. Just the whole talk and the connecting and then before you know it both of them are overwhelmed. Carrie interrupting before the end was very, very creepy. Very passionate scene though, and a definite defining moment in their relationship.
Day 3: I can't believe I almost lost you
Tony: Michelle? I can't believe I almost lost you.
Michelle: I almost lost you too. But we're still here.
One of my favorite Tony/Michelle phone scenes, bar the one in Day 4 where he tells her he's alive. Tony sobbing as he says he almost lost her was heartbreaking. Day 3 really was their day- and Reiko Aylesworth did such a beautiful job playing Michelle in Day 3, what with the hotel, the kidnapping, and so on.
Day 3: The Exchange
Tony: Baby, you're alive. And no one else got hurt because of what I did... and I can live with that. Even in prison.
Alright, the quote isn't strictly from this scene, but it captures the essence of it- that he'd do anything for her. I love how this scene was set out- the looks, the extended hand, the shootout then finally the reunion- so incredibly intense.
Day 4: Oh, I love you
Michelle: Oh, I love you. I didn't know how much until I thought I'd lost you.
I'll admit it- if I had to choose a favourite Tony/Michelle scene, this probably would be it. A happy ending for them, for once, and just how they instantly ran to each other and how they got back together against all odds. The final scenes of the Day 4 finale are among my very favorite finale scenes, with Michelle/Tony sending Jack off. As much as I enjoyed 24 Day 5, I like to think that Tony/Michelle's story ends here, with them happily leaving CTU and starting a new life together. They are one of my very favorite ships- and probably the defining ship of 24. 24 Day 8 is fun, but I miss the two of them terribly.
