Revenge of the Bullet-Point Post

  • So today was Play Proposal day, where everyone in the Society (who could be bothered to show up) votes for the plays to go on next semester. In the end I decided not to propose anything. I have three full modules in that semester and only one in semester 2, so it will make more sense to try and do another play in that time. There were seven plays going out for two slots (the panto, musical and Freshers' Play were uncontested. Though... there was no sign of a Freshers' Play anywhere. And the musical's RENT which is so awesome!) so lots of competition. No word yet on who got through...

  • I gots mah Ball dress for tomorrow night! In the end the lovely dress I got aaaaaages ago in a Monsoon sale didn't fit, so I quested out for a suitable outfit, which I found. It isn't Highly Formal, but I don't really like being Highly Formal. I will feel good in this dress and I intend to convey my feelings of goodness to the assembled multitude through exciting conversation and bad dancing. Yay me!

  • I just helped Nige iron his shirt for tomorrow and HE BURNED ME. On the hand. So now I have three burns across two hands. Two from the same oven, one from the evil, malevolent iron. The new one is big and triangular. And is hurting now D:

  • EXTENDED STUDY. I'm enjoying it, but I am not writing it fast enough. I must complete a first draft by Sunday night, because this thing is going to need some hardcore editing.

  • I'm currently considering staying in Newcastle to do a Creative Writing MA. This is only the latest in a series of flip-flops happening in regards to my immediate future following university. And is only partly motivated by my desire to stay involved with this GODDAMN theatre society for as long as possible. :P
Alright. I think that covers all the bases. Now I'm going to make tea and wait for the Apprentice to come on. I sort of like Philip, which is wrong on many levels, but I can't seem to help it.

my life in glorious technicolour, theatre, television, university
