I went and got my Extended Study sorted out today, by visiting the woman who would have led the Cyberpunk module if she hadn't had a baby. Turns out she's awesome. When I said I wanted to write on Battlestar Galactica she lit right up, and we spent a good ten minutes talking about the latest series and then testing out some ideas about gender and sexuality.

It also turns out that nobody has written any critical analysis of BSG so I get to be *ORIGINAL*! I do have to draw on the theoretical material, but Donna Haraway improves with time and it's a small price to pay to have my very own ideas about something.

I have to come up with an outline in the next few weeks, and then I'll basically be good to go. This may be the most fun essay ever, for reals :D

So today was a good day - finally random googling of Sam Troughton paid off (... you didn't hear that, right?) and I am going to actually enjoy writing 5,000 words over Easter. Yay!
