lots of EXCITEMENT and CAPSLOCK within

I have SO much to be excited about for the next couple of weeks!

Faerie Festival at Spoutwood Farms is this weekend! C and I are holing up at a Bed & Breakfast about 15 minutes away from the Festival, and I'm really looking forward to quiet time with him each evening after the Festival is over. Unless the Fae go out and party into the night, in which case that would be a lot of fun, too. I am SO excited, because I had the most awesome, best epiphany ever! I was watching some of the footage from the web site, and I thought OMG! It might be a bit overboard to wear my entire RenFest costume...but I could totally alter it to suit the occasion! So even though I've been fretting - FRETTING - over what to wear for nigh on two months now, I've GOT it. It's by no means the most elaborate costume, but I think I'll fit right in.

I'm going to wear my flouncy purple wench skirt and my bodice with a black tank underneath (instead of my flouncy wench shirt). It might still be a bit on the RenFest side, but it seemed like that was ok, based on the videos. Plus, if nothing else, I'm determined to get a pair of wings :D

Then next weekend I'm going home for Mother's Day and to go to an Oriole's game with my best friend. I am almost equally as excited for the game as I am for Faerie Festival, which is to say, VERY. Should be a low-key weekend, and I'll probably have to go grocery shopping with my Dad to pick up a vegetarian staple or two, since I don't expect them to make one completely different meal for me.

Speaking of vegetarianism, OMG MorningStar products have saved me. SAVED me. I almost fell onto my knees and sobbed in the aisle of our grocery store.

The week after Mother's Day, I'm taking C to Medieval Times with friends for his birthday. Also REALLY excited about that. Since it's May, I might wear my bodice over a tank top with jeans. People don't really dress up for it all that much, but I AM CURRENTLY IN GREAT SPIRITS AND I LOVE MY BODICE.

The FOLLOWING weekend, my mom and her husband are coming out to visit. Not so much as excited for this, since I'm not all that close to my mom for various and sundry reasons, but it should be a nice break from the norm, anyway.

I applied to 5 jobs last Friday, and should be hearing back in May for most of them. And I'll be applying to more on Tuesday. Environmental Education jobs. I want to be the girl standing in front of the field trip of school-agers with the hawk on her shoulder, explaining about why conservation and wildlife are so important.

And that's about it! I am so excited for tomorrow, though I still have a bit of trepidation, as I am incredibly awkward in new social situations. But so far, the excitement is outweighing the anxiety :)

Back to packing!
