Strawberry Sherbet

I know I don't usually post recipies, but this one is just too brilliant. I got it from my neighbor June after eating it at her place-- she says it comes from Moosewood's dessert cookbook.

1 pint fresh strawberries, hulled & sliced
3/4 c sugar (can substitute honey, delicious)
2 t vanilla extract
1 c sour cream (can substitute yogurt or fat-free sour cream, but I wouldn't... this way is too richly decadent)

Place all ingredients in blender (if you don't have a blender, as I don't at the moment, a potato masher and some persistance works fine.) Blend until mostly smooth.

Chill. Freeze in ice cream maker or by some other clever ice cream freezing strategy.

I have a batch chilling right now. Yum!
