A friend was bored. He asked me to tell him a story. This is what I told him:

once upon a time
there was a girl
who hated to say goodbye
yet she always had to say goodbye,
even when she didn't want to.
she never was able to enjoy anything
because she was always preparing for the end
and the sad words that come at the end.
then, one year
she spent some time on her own
and explored a whole other part of herself
she learned that looking towards the end
shafts you out of whats going on in the present
and she tried her hardest not to get caught up in thinking about the end.
sometimes it worked, other times she would relapse and be sad
and think too much. it was her curse
---no one could cure her of it.
but the moral of the story, is that she learned to deal with her thinking-too-much-curse
and she lives a happy and healthy life.
the end.
