On the bike ride home from work today, I had two drivers honk aggressively and yell or mouth choice words at me out their windows.
Why?
Because I, as a cyclist, had the AUDACITY to obey proper traffic laws and make a left turn at a multi-laned intersection (with the cross-walk an island away at the right) THE WAY A CAR DOES, from the left-hand lane, which is technically what I, as a cyclist, am SUPPOSED to do in such a situation.
Don't honk at me, fuckheads. Honk at the FOUR DRIVERS who ran the RED so that my turn was not QUITE completed when your light turned green. Because sitting in the middle of the intersection would have been PREFERABLE, I'm sure.
Next time I'm riding on the fucking sidewalk. And mowing down baby carriages. Dicks.
