Where: Crmsn's House When: About a day after this conversation Who: Mordecai, Legato, and Crmsn What: Making a costume, possibly with lasers. Warnings: None yet.
[Mordecai made his way to Crmsn's place quickly, excited to see the progress on his costume. Eventually, he makes it (after some wandering), and rings the front bell.]
[There's a small wait before the door creaks open and Crmsn's standing there complete with apron and welding mask still on. In one hand he's got a strange looking bracer, that's open and has a mess of circuitry running through it that does god knows what.]
Thanks it's not much but it's home, well...spacious and lonely really without the whole family...
[he blinked at that question then hid the bracer behind his his back.]
Er, a surprise...the "special effects". And the gettup is cause I've been welding your costume together. Metal doesn't just connect with duct tape after all. Just gotta make sure I don't make it too loose and not too tight. Y'know?
[He's somber for all of two seconds before he claps his hands together and beams.]
Heck yeah, c'mon along and give it a look see. I'm using the wifes' old lab down there. [He points to a open door in the hall and leads the way to it.]
Hah, don't tell me she was also into robots? [He follows down the hall, entering the door and looking around. Not every day he gets to see other people's homes.]
[The front door opens up into a rather spacious foyer with a dark hardwood floor which takes no time to lead up into the living room, just past a half wall that leads into a hallway on the left, changing up to a soft off white carpet. A green couch sits in front of some drapes that are half-way drawn over the back wall, almost hiding the sliding glass door there that leads out into the backyard and the pool, which takes up a good portion of the yard. The living room itself is comfortable looking, though it almost feels too empty, several lazy boys sit around along with a second love seat in front of a large TV and a coffee table that has coasters set out. A partition on the other side of the room separates into the kitchen and an island where several stools sit along with an actual kitchen table. The fridge, which can be seen over the island, looks like it's sitting precariously on top a sheet of metal that doesn't match up with the linoleum flooring, and almost looks like something had been burrowed under it before hand. Another
( ... )
No kidding. [Legato is leaning against the partition-- was he even there a second ago?? --and tilting back a bottle of strawberry milk. Manly. He pats the top back on and glances up at Mordecai with a slight, distant smile.]
Except for the whole "trapped with no way out," I wouldn't mind her being here at all. I honestly think she'd get a huge kick out of this place.
[AUGH. PEOPLE NEED TO STOP SNEAKING UP ON HIM. He nearly falls over in surprise, catching his breath for a second.] Seriously! Stop being a ninja, Legato!
... Yeah, well... she's the kinda person for adventure and crap like that?
[Don't mind him laughing a bit too hard he falls into a bit of coughing. Wait coughing. That's weird, a few pounds on his chest and a deep breath he shakes his head.]
Hah! Gato, stop sneaking up on the guests, it's not polite son. [He turned back Mordecai and nodded.] Oh yeah. She is a pip, hahah. And we both had a lot of adventures together, from dimension hopping to time travel, to fighting off evil. Yeah Classic Sci-fi-Fantasy dealie, Blue.
[Crmsn gets a brief nervous look from Legato, before he blushes and gives Mordecai an apologetic smile.] Sorry. I'm not used to being around people that aren't used to that, yet.
[He nods and pushes up from the partition, standing upright.] Yes, and half of them these two caused themselves. [A gesture at Crmsn with a wry, albeit fond, smile.]
Dude, it's fine. Just, uh, give me some warning. [He chuckles a bit.]
That sounds a lot like Rigby and I... you wouldn't believe half the things we get into by accident. Which, uh, does involve all those things you mentioned. Sorta.
[He nodded and smiled, taking a brief moment to drain the rest of the bottle.] Yeah. I promised I'd help Mordecai with it too actually, with a "special effect" or two.
