Three people I have known who have shaped my life for the better:
[1] My grandfather, a mininster, a refrigerator factory worker, a farmer, a soft-spoken moralist, and a crossword-worker.
[2] Mr. Hamm, rural intellectual and teacher
[3] Beth, former girlfriend, hardnosed poet, deeply kind and deeply honest, inspiration towards my betterment
Three artists of any genre who have shaped my world view:
[1] Gertrude Stein, for showing how complex what is right under our noses is -- whether plates or pancakes or a simple sentence
[2] Derek Jarman, for letting me SEE how odd and beautiful a queer really COULD be
[3] Henry David Thoreau, for a sense of audacity that is natural and sensible
Three places I have visited where I would consider living:
[1] Berlin, a city of sincerity with a history for decadence and a scar down its center
[2] New Orleans, hot and sticky, soaked in pit- and crotch-sweat and coursing booze, underbelly map of an older world
[3] Asheville, NC, small and green, tucked in Smokey Mtn. foothills, full of wide-eyed assertions with a tincture of lost hippieness
Three physical qualities that I find attractive:
[1] a hairy chin or cheeks
[2] a bit of a rounded belly counterbalanced by a bit of a rounded ass
[3] a wide smile -- creased cheeks, thick lips, maybe a gap in the teeth
Three personality traits that I find attractive:
[1] a sharp and deep curiosity
[2] a desire to smilingly create
[3] the solidity of loyalty and sincerity
Three sexual activites that are yet to transfer from fantasies to reality:
[1] a pointedly psychological sub experience revolving around hard counseling, guilt, judgement, and/or punishment and then forgiveness
[2] a calculated, watchful, and caring dom experience that could guide another to the thresh-hold of fundamental change
[3] an all-out pig wallow with a whole spectrum of fluids, smells, sounds, and body-hair chafings
Three musicians or musical groups I have listened to in the past few ... (I'm not as keen on music as I used to be):
[1] Be Good Tanyas
[2] Sleater-Kinney
[3] Tom Waits
Three biographies I have been inspired by:
[1] Samuel Beckett by Dierdre Bair
[2] Gemini by Nikki Giovanni (autobiography)
[3] Capote by Gerald Clarke
Three things I would like to accomplish in my lifetime:
[1] Spend the majority of my days in self-directed creative/intellectual/spiritual pursuits
[2] Have a quirky but warm and reliable family to belong to in a fitting home
[3] Be able to travel MUCH more
