Yesterday, I went with my family to eat blue-plate buffet in Murfreesboro in an old house converted into a restaurant. It was my brother's birthday. I stuffed myself crazy: mashed potatoes, asparagus, a variety of slaws and salads, hot wings, catfish, banana pudding, coconut pie, and ... a coffee to keep me somewhat alert for the 3-hour drive ( Read more... )

Love the drag king story - and I agree with the above post, endorsing your talents as a writer of southern literature. I see that all through your writing, & I love that, even when I don't comment.

And perhaps if you leave the south, you might find even more inspiration to write what you know.

Minor? Maybe I'll have every character fall out of hisn's or hern's chair simultaneously to a cinematic sforzando! :) Haha!
