One of the most attractive things about a man, to me, is when you can see both the boy he's been and the old man he is becoming, at once, on his face, in his voice, and in his gesture. A quick look to his eyes to show he knows he's always becoming. Like the shaped curl where a stretch of barbed wire has been tested.

It is not the beauty of not-knowing or escape or chased perfection but that of a season fully experienced.
