I just got a text from Khara that copies of Beth's book, Shouldering Zero, came with UPS today. It's her first book and I am so proud of her -- not to mention this one is partially dedicated to me. Celebration is in order!

Her chapbook Anything to Avoid Becoming Harold should also be out in the coming couple of months.

Thanks, fella! It really is good news. Especially when you get used to thinking you and your ilk are shut out of that kind of work ... one of "your own" breaking into that arena is really exhilirating. :)

Yeah, I imagine its pretty inspiring! Now when are we going to get a book out of you? I've always thought your writing was really great.

*honored* Thank you, Buddy. Odd: I was just constructing the idea of a post where I tried to sort through what my real strengths in writing are and what my remaining writing dreams are. The goal would be to find where my desires match best with my strengths so that I could isolate a fun project to work on ... and finish! :)

Any advice is welcome, and your kind words already warm the cheeks.

I definitely couldn't give you any advice other than to do *something* with your talent. I'm not very good at analyzing writing being that I was a humanities major at an engineering university.
However, I can recognize when it's done well.
