So Saturday night, I didn't get a whole lot of sleep.  I stayed at my friend's house, and Max -- the dog I was sitting -- slept with me all night.  He'd sit up about once every thirty minutes, chase his tail on the futon bed and corkscrew into a lying position, his haunch, head, or paw plopped on my leg or belly.  As soon as the sun peeked through ( Read more... )

I know, I know. Shucks! ::stupid grin::

He was as easy a first all-night snuggle as a lot of guys I've been with! ;)

yeah, and you don't have to worry that he won't return your calls.

I start house sitting for billybear_bstn tonight. I'll have Gretchen (the dachshund) and Tango (the Maltese) in bed with me.

Enjoy!

I've never slept with an actual dog before! It was so exciting ... and honestly, sort of loneliness-shunting ... like I didn't expect! :)

Now please let the days lengthen, our five o'clocks be filled with sun.

Amen to that. I'm ready for that week of warm weather we call "Spring."

A former house mate of mine had one of the old Volkswagon bugs. The license plate read: DAS BUG. On the first warm day of spring, he would drive through the neighbourhood with the windows rolled all the way down, blasting The Ride of the Valkyries at top volume.

Hoy ya toya!!!

I have my own idea: I'll drive my gold family sedan with purple window tinting through Memphis, blasting "Sippin' on gin 'n' juice: Laid back: With my mind on my money and my money on my mind" ... looking really grinny white.

Awwwww. What a CUTE doggie! Makes me want one! And yes, sleping with Dogs is fun. My friends Josh and Aaron have a wonderful Retriever named Zaan. She's wonderful to cuddle with.

Yeah ... ::mope:: I got sort of attached to Max. Oh well, I am happy to be his uncle. :)

Maybe I need a smaller dog, one that'll sleep on my chest. Weight -- like bristled heads -- against my chest always helps me sleeper more soundly.

Well, since I'm too far away to rest my bristly head on your chest, might I recommend a dachshund? Small dog body, big dog personality.

And remember, you gotta clean up after them, and small dogs = small poops.

Also, they're very intelligent, loyal and playful.

That's a good idea for the meantime! But I think I've basically decided to forego the dog til I have a roomier living arrangement.

What do you think about the idea of a miniature pig? Eh?
