Yuletide letter!
Hello Yuletide person!
My LJ has been flocked forever and a day, but my FANNISH life can be easily read here, where I put all my fic! I am so excited to be participating this year, and so excited that YOU are participating too!
On the whole, I am easy to please. I don't mind angst, but I do like non-tragic endings (make of that what you will). I love pining. I love character studies done well. I love banter. I love future fics. I love first time fics and frottage and hand-holding and humor and dirty talk, and really, I am EASY.
Of the four fandoms I picked there are two that I would be happy for ANYTHING in - any characters, any ratings, any pairings, if you think you have an idea that will work. The Breakfast Club is a movie that still defines me to this day, and I love everyone in it, hands down. Friday Night Lights is a show with so many layers that I can't possibly tell you what to write, since I fear I would stifle you! I do love Riggins though. Give me at least a DASH of Riggins. ;)
So You Think You Can Dance is a show that I am late to, so if you bring in people before Season 5, I will probably not know who they are? Mostly I love that it's a show where most of the boys are gay, and no one cares, or even mentions it. And I loved loved loved the dynamics of this season, and the dancer Kent became and the joy Robert brought to everything, and how fucking young and brilliant Lauren was, and how Neil was still wiping the floor with everyone, and Ade was a hotass motherfucker. And Cat! And the judges! And Travis Wall who just makes me weep with joy every time he creates something.
So, I would love some behind the scenes fic, or tour fic, anything where we can see some flirting or some angst or some boys being boyish, or some cursing or some makeouts.
Die Hard is one of the few prompts where I have a definite pairing preference, but don't let that stop you from being creative with it! I have loved McClane for two decades now, and I love Matt Farrell, and I love them together, as friends or as more (more is nice!!). Banter, action, sappiness, porn, whatever!
Things I don't like as much in my fic (though, again, I have seen all of them done well):
- Power plays in relationships. (A lot of my pairings have a clear age gap between partners, and I know it's a fine line. I just don't like people using power in a relationship to make others do things they aren't keen on.) - Cheating. (Seriously, I really really do not like cheating. At all.)
- A focus on the kink of a relationship (either sexual or D/s related).
I'm not as big a fan of femmeslash and het as I am of slash, but I like gen. I LOVE hurt/comfort fics, but am not a fan of gore. I live for crossovers (though that is not really the point of Yuletide!).
