[.... ow.

That... that did not look like a fun trip. That could have been a lot more graceful. He's not sure if he can blame the jet pack or lack of experience here but he's not really a judgmental bot.

... try not to be intimidated by the giant shadow falling over you, mini!prime, he can't really help it]

... Are you alright?

[Both can be blamed, since Optimus would ideally keep both of his feet and all four of his tires on the solid ground.]

I'm...fine?

[He blinks in awe at the sheer size of the Autobot talking to him. Welp, he feels kinda small...]

[He can give lessons!

Oh good no freaking out or questions about his wings today. He smiles at the answer, looking rather relieved.]

Good. You took quite a fall, I would hate to have one injured so soon upon arrival.

Excuse me, I have not introduced myself.

[He holds out a hand for a handshake]

I am Skyfire. It is a pleasure to meet you, and welcome to Ink City.

[Well after Jetfire and Jetstorm Optimus likes to keep an open mind. He himself is trying to learn how to fly, so that's a factor too.

Also Skyfire doesn't look like he could hurt someone else if he tried.]

My name is Optimus Prime.

If you don't mind my saying... but your mold is very interesting. I don't see too many bots with that mold anymore.

[It's pretty nice, really.

And he totally wouldn't hurt anyone. Toss a bunch of 'Cons around like juggling balls, yes, but they totally hit the snow so they're fine]

.... Optimus?

[... oh yeah alternate dimensions herpderpderp]

Oh, yes! I see, I suppose given the circumstances, that would make sense. You must be from an alternate reality. You see, there is an Optimus here already.

[BUT HE ISN'T SAYING YOU'RE NOT OPTIMUS because that would be rude. There's a bit of a pause at the mention of his design. Yes... yes he knows he's old please don't remind him ;;]

Ah... yes I am afraid I have not been able to receive an upgrade for... quite some time.

Yes, I've met him.

[Next subject.]

Must have been a while, since molds like yours haven't been used for thousands of stellar cycles.

Have you? Good. I'm sure you two will have much to talk about.

[...whyyyyyyyyyy. The smile looks a bit uncomfortable now, as the wings flicker]

The style was not so terribly outdated when I last awoke, but it seems as if I have missed much in my second stasis. Much had already changed in the previous ten million years however, so perhaps I should not be so surprised.

[Optimus realizes that he has overstepped somewhere, and attempts to apologize for his mistake.]

I'm sorry for being so intrusive sir! I was just curious.

No... It is quite alright. Curiosity should never be punished. I need to accept some facts now anyway, despite how much I want to pretend otherwise.

It is my fault, really.

Do feel free to go on.

[Well as long as he hasn't hurt his feelings.]

So you were in stasis for ten million years?

[That's no small amount of time, even to an autobot.]

How'd you end up in one?

[He's a big boy, he'll get over it]

I was.

I crash landed on earth in an attempt to study it, swept off course in a freak and powerful polar wind storm. I ended up in the arctic, and my systems went into stasis.

thedadbot January 16 2012, 22:10:47 UTC
So uh, what's the Arctic?

[The rest of it makes sense, but that little bit confuses him.]

scienderp January 16 2012, 22:41:07 UTC
[Oh boy. Are you ready for some GEOGRAPHY AND SCIENCE, OP?]

Well, the earth has two poles, I should really start there. Because of the way it is positioned to the sun, the northernmost and southernmost areas of the earth are frozen. The Arctic is located in the northern pole, while the Antarctic is the southern.

Both areas are subject to extreme weather, and storms are common in both areas.

I would suggest visiting it... but I do not believe that you would survive long up there, not unless you are equipped with the proper equipment to handle sub-arctic temeratures.

[He totally is!]

Two poles huh? I guess I've been so busy in Detroit that I didn't bother to check the rest of the world out.

[Who can blame him? There was so much about Earth that he didn't know, and remaining almost entirely in Detroit doesn't help him expand his horizons.]

scienderp January 17 2012, 00:39:38 UTC
There is much to see. I would recommend visiting as many places as you can, while you are still on the planet. Imyself have not quite gotten the chance to explore as much as I hoped, but I have seen from overhead some beautiful places.

... What is 'Detroit'?

thedadbot January 17 2012, 01:07:27 UTC
Thanks, I'll definitely try that sometime!

[When Earth isn't being threatened by an invasion :V]

Detroit is a city where me and my team are currently living. It's a nice place, and it certainly keeps us all busy.

What other places have you been? On Earth and other places?
