[After his previous stunt at the ink well, Optimus has been trying to avoid it as of late, mainly because it frightened Aisling, as well as gave him slight nerves. Not enough to lose his cool, but a feeling he didn't like in the least. So when he does wander around there, what does he see? A giant Cybertronian. This city was getting quite populated with them...
He does a scan with his optics to make sure it is indeed Cybertronian biology, because the framework is not something he has been akin to. But there's no mistake. Energon...a transforming capability, this bot had it. He slowly walks up, arms open wide.]
[He's still trying to work on this thawing out thing, a task more difficult to do when he was stuck in a world that looked just a snowy as the icy tomb he just left.
Optimus would find him sitting, still looking plenty dazed- That voice.
He knew that voice... to an extent. But it sounded so much older now. Optics still clouded with frost, he looked over for a moment, peering...
Before a sudden smile crossed his face, confused but relieved, all at the same time.]
I am no soldier, I am afraid. Or not much of one...
I know you. You.. You look so much different now-
[He tried to get up to clasp that unmistakable Autobot, despite the difference in size and appearance. He knew who it was-
Ah, no. No still too icy. With a groan, he sat back down again, chuckling sheepishly]
I am sorry for my state, Optimus Prime. I have not had such a pleasant trip.
[Optimus's eyes widen at the mention of his name. This one knew him. But it was strange, as he could not recall this bot at all. However, he seemed peaceful, so he could only give a smile in return. My, you are quite icy, friend.]
It seems the weather has not been all too kind to you, my friend. Come, we will find a way to heat your body temperature back to it's normal setting. Before your circuits start to seize.
[The reaction is noted. Oh dear... another one who doesn't know who he is. He's starting to feel a little left out now.]
The arctic is not a friendly place. It seems I can never quite escape the cold.
[He gestured to the snow around them with a sigh.]
I fear it will follow me, it seems. Do not worry terribly about me, I can profess that it will take more than a bit of ice to compromise my circuits.
[He accepted that hand though, slowly standing up with a groan. Ice snapped and shattered, wings trembling slightly with the effort before he finally stood up straight.]
I am Skyfire. ... It seems, however, that my knowledge is one sided... Isn't it?
I am to assume you were trapped in the arctic back in your world. I am...surprised you survived for so long. Tell me, how long were you stationed there? Too much exposure could lead to irreparable damage.
[He helps the old bot up, not even taking his height as anything that should be treated special. He is an Autobot, as his chest plate implies, and that is all that matters to him.]
Skyfire. I apologize deeply, for I do not know of you personally, nor in reputation. However, I will tell you that an Autobot as peaceful as yourself should never be forgotten, and after today, you will always be known to myself and my comrades.
[Another laugh at the mention of too much exposure. He gestured to his eyes, at the small ice crystals that had formed behind and on top of the glass.]
It is nothing that I cannot fix. I would not refer to it as stationed... I fell to earth during an attempt to study it, ten million years ago. ... I was released from it, only to fall back into the ice once more. I assure you, as soon as I have cleaned out this ice, I will be in good health.
[The words touch him, and his expression becomes... almost faintly sad. No one's ever said that to him before, OP. His old friend here doesn't know who the hell he is and neither do you, but at least someone here promised not to forget him.]
Thank you, Optimus. I see you have truly changed only ever so little. ... You were younger, I believe... when last we met. With a few more friends beside you. Are any of them here? Bumblebee, Rachet...?
It is good to see that I have remained the same as our previous encounter. However, it must have been long ago if I was quite so young.
[Even if they are of separate universes, Optimus is totally going to treat this as if they met. After all, those other OPs are technically him as well.]
I believe Bumblebee is here with us, old friend. As well as some young sparklings like Blurr, Jetstorm, and possibly his brother, Jetfire.
[This is such a relief you have no idea. Even if you're not the samey same Optimus, he can deal. At least you sound and almost look the same, unlike some other old friends here...]
I am afraid the only one I recognize is Bumblebee. But then, I suppose at this point, that would only be expected, if the others are sparklings yet.
I have... a great deal of catching up to do, so it would seem. Just so long as I don't continue to have the same unfortunate luck I had at home.
[Hold on. He was thawed better at home, he's kind of working on his own steam right now so-
WHACK. One hand moves to the side of his head, giving a nice thump in an attempt to dislodge a bit more ice. He's taking this rather well]
What have I missed here? What has happened with you and the others?
[The old Prime turns serious as the question is asked.]
I am afraid our war is still ongoing, even in this fair city. The Decepticons are numerous, and it would be beneficial if you were to join our cause. I seek to keep the peace, at least until we are all home.
If this is too much to ask, do not feel obligated to tell me.
[There's a pause, and a long, tired sounding sigh. He hasn't even technically been a part of your war for too long and he's already kind of done with it, thanks. But-]
I would not refuse a friend in need, Optimus. You have all of my support. Whatever I can offer is yours.
As for the Decepticons... I met one already.
[And he'll admit to nothing for the moment...]
Starscream has changed drastically from my home as well, so it would seem.
Do not worry, I can tell that you are not of the fighting sort, so I humbly request you to research a possible way out. If it is not too much to ask...
[Oh, that's just great. Starscream found him.]
I am not surprised that Starscream has found you. He usually does not hesitate to rally new Cybertronians to his side. How was he different in your home?
Oh no, nothing is too much to ask. Please do not hesitate to ask for my assistance with anything.
[But it's pretty clear he's excited at the research idea, eyes lighting up in an instant]
Ah... Starscream. The change so far, from what I can see... is more cosmetic, though I will say his personality has been slightly altered. He is much more delicate in appearance here, and sounds drastically different.
The Starscream I knew was built a little more like myself, though smaller. Even slightly smaller than the one who resides here. ... And had no fear of me.
[Ah yes, one could analyze Starscream all day, it was like a 101 class himself.]
Back on Cybertron he was one of the leading scientists in Energon, and a commander as well. However, his lust for power is what dominates him. Strength is not his strong point, preferring to use words to trick others. If he is a friend of yours, I advise you to be careful. He will not hesitate to break that trust.
[He hates doing this to you, Skyfire, but he wants you to be safe.]
I deeply apologize for anything that any Starscream has done to you. While you may have been colleagues once, Megatron has twisted him into a Decepticon who seeks power beyond what he can manage. I do hope he is not beyond redemption, for I would like to see your bond renewed.
[There's a certain note of mournful heartache behind those words, before he tries to push past that. The smile that appears now on his face seems slightly forced, but at least it's there]
However, I am grateful that there are others here that I know. And the promise of meeting new sparklings and new beings here is rather exciting.

Greetings, soldier.

What is your name? As you already know mine.

So... he truly has not changed from how he was.
The Starscream I knew... we were colleagues. Scientists and explorers on Cybertron. I knew him very, very well, before the war.
[A hand moved to rest over his chest plate, the look in his eyes distant]
And I have already paid the price for placing my full trust in him once.
[He doesn't trust the Screamer here that much, but just talking won't hurt right? As long as he's willing to talk, right?]
