[Accidental Audio] Hello?
[The audio begins with a sputtering hiss before revealing three people in the middle of a conversation. The audio is a little quiet, like the communicator was placed somewhere nearby or on the ground. The voices can still be heard clearly if you listen. The Mayor's voice is familiar, but the other two are new..]
Mayor: -ure you'll both be okay? You remember what I told you?
???: Yes, boss, we got it.
[The second voice sounds male, maybe a young adult. His voice is wispy and echoes like someone talking from the opposite end of a tunnel.]
Mayor: If it feels like your paint is melting off- call me! There's no reason for that to happen, BUT IF IT DOES..
???: I'll fix it. Honest. I'm a big ghost, I have my own paintbrush and everything.
Mayor: Alright, I'm just worried. You two will be able to handle all of this, right?
???: Relax, it'll be fine. Right "The Guard"?-- naw, that doesn't sound right. That's too impersonal. Right, uh... Gurad?
???: GURAD? THAT'S THE BEST NAME YOU CAN THINK OF?
[A second voice BOOMS over the other two. It's deep and powerful, but there's a jovial quality to it. If you listen really, really closely, it sounds a bit feminine.]
???: No, but it's the best one I said!
Mayor: You could always decide on a better name later, but I thought your titles were fine..
???: Well, they're.. uh... descriptive..
???: AND... EASY TO REMEMBER?
???: Yeah! Yeah! Easy to remember!
Mayor: Pffh. If you don't want to be called "The Artist" and "The Guard", that's alright by me.. You may wind up with names from the civilians themselves. But it's up to you to decide what you want to be called.
???: Haha, ones like Gurad?
???: YEAH, THAT'S REALLY DIFFERENT, ARTIST.
???: What? I'm an artist, not a writer.
???: WELL AT LEAST YOU'RE GOOD AT SOMETHING.
???: And naming people is not it!
Mayor: Well, are you two ready to go? Or do you want to keep joking around?
???: Oh right! I'm ready, boss!
???: READY TO GO, BOSS!
[They continue talking, the Mayor giving them directions to reach the city. He tells them to follow dirt paths, they continue joking. This whole recording was accidental, but a surprisingly helpful introduction. Anyone is welcome to call and let them know that they were heard- they'd be more than happy to answer back.]
