[The Mayor looks up into the camera for a moment, brows furrowed in worry. Some citizens might not recognize him in this form, but his voice is the same. Ink monsters stand silently behind him, a few of them with bite-shaped holes in their dripping bodies.
The footage flickers and he takes in a deep breath. As he talks, he avoids eye contact with the screen.]
Something’s happening. I’m not entirely sure what, but I think it has something to do with the.. matching-up of the cities. ..Thanks for that. I think it helped, but I-[kzzzzz]-’t know. Some plant creatures have been coming from the forest, and they’re vicious. But they’re made of [kzzz]-aint, so that means the split is vanishing.

Just.. If you do go into the forest, be careful. These things are powerful, and I’m not in control of them. I don’t know how much they’ve done to the city, or to you.. [He looks down rubs a hand through his hair.] All of you.
