[Lynne was not doing okay lately. After the failure of the boat trip and thus the failure of getting home, the sudden idea that she was, oh I don't know, failing began to sink in more and more.
You see, before Lynne arrived at the city she was in the middle of something pretty important. Just trying to stop a close friend of hers from being executed, not a big deal--wait, no, that's a huge deal. Especially huge when you're a budding young detective trying to prove yourself. The execution was supposed to be on the night she was taken away and she's been in this city for a pretty good period of time. She could only fool herself for so long.
The realization overpowered her fear of the monsters in the city, so she's currently sitting outside on one of the benches to clear her mind. She wants to keep telling herself not to give up, but everything just seems so impossible here. She really wished she were stronger...]
