Nothing like perspective.
It's been raining a lot here lately (I think I can go bass fishing in certain spots in the basement). But, you know, it's always raining harder somewhere else.
A friend of mine grew up in Brazil and does a lot of missionary work there. I asked him if he felt more at home here these days because of all the wet weather, and he just shook his head and cracked up.
Long story short: Where he used to live, the rain starts in every afternoon at around 3:30 -- at a rate of 4 inches to 6 inches an hour.
Put me in *my* place, he did.
