It had been a day since Cave's run in with Starscream which meant that Caroline had to go out on an errand for more pain meds, ice cream and other things to keep Cave's whining down to a minimum. When she spots Soundwave at the fountain, she decides to take a small detour.

"Doing research?" Wouldn't hurt to do some of her own on the new decepticon.

The heat signal cropped up on the radar before Caroline even got close enough to talk, but the 'Con only diverted his attention to her the moment she spoke up. Research? ... Not quite.

The visor pulsed again, a map of the city constructed from fly overs appearing. Another pulse, and points appeared across the expanse of the map. Moving points, as it would seem.

He was waiting.

"You're waiting for Megatron?" She comes and sits on the well's edge, able to remember how strongly he had insisted that they uphold Megatron's orders even in his absence.

"You know, I'm trying to find a way to return home. Gathering research has been slow." Thanks in large part to Cave, but she restrains from saying it. "Getting anything from Starscream is difficult since his favors are never any small task."

The response was a slight nod. It didn't matter how many times Starscream called the act pointless. Soundwave wasn't about to stop any time soon.

He'd figured as much. Starscream had not seen fit to tell him just what Caroline wanted, just that she had agreed to help them. It's okay, he seems to pick up on the unspoken part.

Cave's voice comes almost shooting out of the audio output like the letters themselves were tiny, personally offensive bullets. It's okay, Caroline. He understands. And he is well aware Starscream is immensely hard to please. He's only been working with the mech for eons now.
