RP Post - Enzan's Apartment [ locked to Blues ]

Enzan gone into work earlier than normal just so he could dart out and make it home before Blues.

A few days ago, a thought occurred to him. After flipping through his journal, he realized what was coming up. A year ago, today, could be considered the day they got together

Blues had noticed that Enzan had gone home before him, but they often left work at different times, so this didn't necessarily mean anything. He came home unsuspecting, not remembering the significance of the day's date. That meant that when he entered the apartment and found Enzan waiting with a bouquet of roses, he stopped and blinked in surprise, pausing in the middle of loosening his tie.

"Enzan-sama?"

Enzan got up and walked over to Blues. Still holding the flowers, Enzan just wrapped his arms loosely around him and gave Blues a kiss.

"I would like to have a talk with you." He offered a warm smile.

Although still not understanding what was going on, Blues returned the hug and the kiss. "All right," he said. "Do you want to talk now, or after I have changed?"

Enzan pulled away, "You can go get changed first, that's fine. There's no hurry, really."

Blues looked at Enzan curiously for a moment, then nodded and left to go get changed.

A few minutes later, he returned, now wearing a comfortable shirt and pair of pants instead of his work clothes. "What did you want to talk to me about?" he asked?

Enzan held out the roses to Blues and smiled more shyly.

"Well, I was starting to wonder when our, um, 'anniversary' you could say is. We've been together a long time, right? And I went looking through my journal a couple days ago and from what I read, that would be today."

Enzan was blushing faintly now, "So, um, happy anniversary, Blues."

As Blues realized what Enzan was talking about, he smiled and stepped forward to accept the roses. "Thank you, Enzan-sama." Then he leaned forward to press his lips to Enzan's. "Happy anniversary to you, too."

Enzan returned the kiss and tried to take one of Blues' hands.

"I love you, Blues. I am lucky to have the relationship we have and just having someone like you. I didn't really have anything planned tonight but, um, what if we planned out a vacation in the near future? Take a trip somewhere."

Blues let him take the hand that wasn't holding the roses. "I would like that. It has been a while since we last took a vacation. Shall we eat dinner first, then look online?"

"Sounds good. Maybe we can make something simple together? Oh! How about fish?" Enzan couldn't help but grin. He gave Blues' hand a little squeeze.

Blues couldn't help it. He laughed. "Fish would be wonderful, so long as it is not like my first attempt at it." He squeezed Enzan's hand back, then nodded his head toward the kitchen. "If we start now, we should be able to eat in half an hour."

"I am sure it won't be. You're a good cook, Blues." Enzan happily followed, "And then we have all night to figure out our vacation."

"Only if that is how we actually spend the night, Enzan-sama," Blues replied cheerfully, almost singing. Then, laughing, he went into the kitchen to start working on dinner.

"Oh?" Enzan couldn't help but chuckle as he started getting out dishes, "And what are you suggesting by that, hmm?"

Blues took the fish out of the fridge. "It can mean anything you want it to," he said, turning to give Enzan a very warm smile. "You did say it was our anniversary."

After setting up the table Enzan walks over and wrapped his arms around Blues' waist from behind.

"Yeah." He was blushing just a little. "I guess we could talk about it during dinner instead of waiting until after, then."

A small little chuckle.
