After speaking with Sparks in the Nexus, and then speaking with Netto, Enzan found himself here in Reality Vanish. He's never been here before except for a brief moment in his alternate's room and he actually thought he would never see this place ( Read more... )

"If Enzan said he'd be here, he'll be here," Netto said confidently. "Enzan doesn't lie about things like that. Maybe we're just early."

Enzan was exactly at the arcade - he was on the alley next to it, and he wasn't there by choice. At the moment, he was being slammed against the wall.

"Ow!" With a hiss, Enzan tried to pry himself free from the tight grip on his shoulder. He glared at his two attackers; teenage thugs. "What do you want?"

"Your money, Sparkles," one commented, running a hand through his spikey hair. "Heard you were rich. Hand it over."

"Get bent," Enzan shot back, trying to worm his way free. He grabbed the arm holding him and twisted it, earning a surprised shout from his holder, but the other one struck him across the jaw, knocking him down.

"Do it. Now!" he ordered.

Enzan quickly look over and listened for a short moment. He didn't say anything and instead took off running to the alley next to the arcade. He spotted the three and he realized he wouldn't be able to take on the two teens as an eleven-year-old boy. At the same time, he wouldn't be able to just yank Enzan out of there. This would get interesting...

The best idea he could come up with in the short time he had was to slam into the one closest to Enzan to try and knock him down. He used his shoulder and elbow to slam into the side of the boy and fell with him.

Netto heard what Enzan heard, too, and took off after him. When he saw what was going on, he automatically reached for his PET, only to remember that it wasn't there. He'd left Rockman at home so that he could recover from merging with Saito. Darn it. That meant he couldn't cross fuse.

The expression on Netto's face turned to one of grim determination. Oh well. He'd just have to use what he'd been learning from the Hunters about normal combat.

"Leave him alone!" he shouted, darting forward to throw a punch at the boy who was holding Enzan.

"I screwed up!" he yelled back. "I always do. You think the things you call me don't hurt?"

He stopped; that path would get him no where. "I know I'm not fair to you. I don't deserve to have you as a friend; hell, I don't deserve friends! But I'm sorry. That's all I can give you. Who told you I needed help?"

"You do deserve friends. You just got to work a little harder in some areas. You have Netto here as a friend. I am just getting tired." Enzan actually tensed up, he looked and sounded like he might start crying a little but didn't, "I can only think of one thing that you have done that showed you cared."

Netto looked at Enzan like he'd just said the stupidest thing in the world. "Idiot. You're not the one who gets to decide if you deserve us as friends. That's our decision." He wanted to box some sense into Enzan's head, but now really wasn't the time for that. Instead, he folded his arms and huffed. "Although, it would be nice if you were a little nicer."

"Nicer." Netto's statement distracted him from what his alt had said. "Anything else? From both of you? Who told you, Enzan?"
