Funny how I rocked out to my fullest extent to Electric Pink by The Promise Ring on the way to my doctor appointment this afternoon. Why are my eyes still bloodshot after two days? Because I have dual pink eye, of course! That's right - conjuctivitis in both of my lucky Irish eyes. So fucking lucky.
Actually its not luck at all.
My immune system has definitely been working at full capacity for far too long and can't take everything that's been coming at it recently. First the wisdom teeth almost-infection that I had to take penicillin for. Before that was even over I got a really bad cold. Not long after the cold went away I decided to drink too much, get alcohol poisoning and spent a night and morning throwing up violently and feeling quesy for the entire next day which included staying at work for less than an hour. That was this past Friday night and Saturday morning. Saturday night my eyes were still bloodshot from what I thought was burst blood vessels from puking so hard but they were itchy. Sunday, still itchy and red. Monday I go to the doctor to discover pink eye, but now I also have a very very sore throat and ridiculously runny nose.
soooo here's the new "I'm way too sick for this shit" bedtime routine:
1. Warm damp towel on eyeballs for as long as it takes for the towel to get cool
2. Somehow manage to get two drops of getbettereyeballs! stuff in both eyes, but only after the first 3 attempts are on the cheek and/or forehead
3. Take two Tylenol PMs with water (feel exhausted/high 20 minutes later)
4. Write this blog entry on myspace
5. Pass the fuck out
