Fantasy Dogs
Here are some of the dog breeds I fantasize about owning at some point in my life:
American Staffordshire terrier or American pit bull terrier
Doberman Pinscher
Belgian Malinois
Yorkie
Poodle (any size)
Papillon
Scottish Deerhound
Black Lab (preferably one of the tall, lean, crazy hyper ones that would NEVER step foot in the conformation ring)
German Wirehaired pointer or Wirehaired pointing Griffon or German Shorthaired Pointer
Afghan Hound
Maltese
Shih Tzu
Giant Schnauzer or Standard Schnauzer (NOT getting a miniature, EVER.)
On that note. Not to offend anyone, but here are some of the breeds I will NEVER own:
Miniature Schnauzer
Miniature Pinscher
Shar-pei
Chow Chow
Beagle
Basset Hound
Husky or Malamute
Rottweiler
Italian Greyhound
Akita
Jack/Parson Russell Terrier or Rat Terrier or Toy Fox Terrier
Mastiff/Bullmastiff
And here are some dogs that I would definitely own but I would have to be SUUUUPER picky about where I got them (either from an insanely good award-winning world-renowned breeder, or a reputable rescue that does health/behavioral testing). As in the good ones are GOOD but the bad ones are REALLY REALLY BAD:
Boxer
Golden Retriever
German Shepherd
Border Collie
Bulldog
a damn good genetically/behaviorally sound Dachshund (no offense Mackenzie, but you are a genetic mess)
