As you know, today is my favorite day of the year, so I'm sure you all are wondering why I've spent the day taking Mackenzie to Walgreen's for a ridiculously lame "photo event" (basically they set up some fake tombstones and bloody sheets and random decorations in their break room and the manager came in with a shoddy digicam and took a couple of pictures). Even though I thought it was very lame, Mackenzie had a great time shopping in Walgreen's and even got pet by a few people AND met some badly behaved dogs on Flexi leads in the parking lot. The yorkie came out of nowhere (at least 8ft in front of her owner) and Mackenzie stole a nose-to-nose sniff (more progress!) and once I told her good girl (before the cocker appeared) we kept walking to the car.
We got home and since I could see she was still pretty excitable I thought I would take her out for some training vids. Before we could get started though, a congregation of birds (Dad says they hold political rallies in our front yard) caught her attention. We're talking HUNDREDS of birds all in one spot (we happen to have several wild bird feeders in our front yard). So needless to say, the vids didn't turn out that great. BUT, I did get some great pictures.
Air-scenting.
She's gotten so much white on her muzzle in just a few short weeks.
A Clicker and Delta Society tags all in one picture. We should get some endorsement money by now.
Hunting.
Did I tell you I taught April how to jump up on our mailbox?
