from a public library in Great Barrington Massachusetts ...

I'm just dropping in to say best. Falcon Ridge.  Ever.

(and they played Fell In Love.)

From the Strangelings, Carey Farrell a/k/a carpetofstars, Iain Campbell Smith, Jack Hardy and Jud Caswell in the Budgiedome, to the Nields and the Snacks at the children's tent, this year was a sheer delight. (Despite the stinky mud.)  I think I played more than I ever did before.  I bought a hula hoop.

natertots plied me with Scotch. I got the chance to hang out with
zilpha for a couple of hours Sunday afternoon.

2 days later, I am still agog.

Yesterday I went to Rodgers' Book Barn, and inevitably bought about 25 books (everything from 4 volumes of A Series of Unfortunate Events, to  biographies of George Fox [NOT of Pavilion fame], Mary Baker Eddy, and Ste. Thérèse of Lisieux, to a history of Connecticut and a Swiss (French-language) tarot deck).  The damage? $64.26.

And no, I haven't yet read HP/DH, and my plans to buy it this week have been derailed by yesterday's literary extravaganza.  So I may need to remain spoiler-free for THE REST OF MY LIFE.  *sigh*

Today I'm heading to Stockbridge, then planning dinner at Helsinki Cafe tonight.  I also need to make time to stop in at the crystal shop in GB, eat the ginger ice cream in my microfridge, take a few laps in the condo pool, and buy a baby goat.  (Well, maybe not that last ... yet.)  And the Indian restaurant is singing me siren songs too.

Will probably not check back into LJ until I'm home on Friday, but feel free to comment away.  I love you all. *mwah*

frff, vacation, books, great barrington
