on the importance of household communication

Unbeknownst to me, Steve was planning to spend today tearing apart the kitchen/stripping woodwork.

Unbeknownst to Steve, I was planning on making hammy bean soup and other yum in that same kitchen.

Guess who won?  :P

I think I should just settle down and read, instead of feeling madly frustrated.  Or, alternately, settle down and write about things I've read this year. Once I get rid of the no-food-because-I-was-waiting-for-prepspace headache, that is.  (Lunch?  Is so not thrilling.  3 semi-defrosted chicken taquitos from Trader Joe's. Semi-defrosted because  I didn't nuke them long enough, and I don't really want to go back down to ShopVacLand/ToxicFumesLand with the headache just to heat them further. Sigh.)

And tonight Toby the Neuro Corgi will be our houseguest, because Mom decided not to come back from D.C. until tomorrow, but the vet doesn't have hours between tonight and Tuesday morning, so if I don't  pick up Toby tonight he's stuck there for the long weekend.  I'd better get rid of the headache before I collect him, is all I can say.
