After checking out assorted online and real-estate-occupying merchants only to discover that my beloved Bass sandals just really don't exist anywhere except in my closet, and selection on comparable styles is limited and pricy elsewhere, I moments ago bought 3 pairs of gen-u-wine Birkenstocks on Ebay.
The serious everyday hardkore sandals.
Practical, yet very amusing. (Don't be fooled by the Betula label - it's a European Birkenstock division, with all desirable foot-cozying qualities intact.)
