*facepalm*

Last night I made our standard no-time-to-cook dinner - Nathan's hot dogs, baked beans, pickles, assorted salad bar stuffs - because after a late-afternoon doctor's appointment Andrew was swamped with homework, and Steve and I had to dash out of the house for a financial aid seminar at the high school.

Twenty minutes into the seminar, the goddamn migraine struck. And of course I couldn't leave the seminar, go home, and take meds, so instead I sat under fluorescent lights for the next two hours, massaging my temple and trying not to look pained, disgusted, miserable, and/or comatose.

With the result that it's still here, plus a bonus this morning of tummy trouble.

I don't know why I thought I could handle all of the above foods PLUS OLIVES.

I'm very annoyed with myself for stretching my trigger-food limits too far. It's kind of like rationalizing "oh, I can probably get away with one more drink". Once I'm thinking in terms of what I might conceivably get away with, I need to learn to back the hell off and eat something else that's, like, not loaded with nitrates and tyramines and salt and preservatives and, oh yeah, possibly molds.

You'd think I'd know that by now.

Owww.

You know it's bad when Dave and Tracy are making too much noise to tolerate. :/

More on the ins and outs of financial aid (a/k/a "getting anyone and everyone else to pay")later, when my brain isn't throbbing quite so hard.

migraine, med, allergies
