CHARACTER NAME: Aizen Sousuke

PERSONALITY:
Aizen Sousuke is the man your mother warned you about.
He is ambitious and ruthless, believing himself above morality in general. However, all of these initial negative qualities aside, Aizen thoroughly enjoys manipulating people, perhaps more than all of these other things combined. Instead of allowing people to see him for the monster he may be, he shows a front that is kind, sympathetic, caring, loving, and all-around likeable. It is with this front that Aizen manages his pawns into the correct position, only to watch them fall into all his neat little traps.
Aizen has little regard for life and little need for friends. He desires power, and is incredibly ambitious, refusing to let anything stand in way. He also has an entirely too-big ego, and flat out doesn’t respect people who hold themselves to “higher” purposes like righteousness and morality. As a matter of fact, he doesn’t respect anyone, short of the equally monstrous like him. Instead of friends, he collects pawns, allowing these people to think he’s working for the greater good. In the end, he is: the greater good of himself.
BACKGROUND:
When we first meet Aizen, he is the charming, charismatic captain of squad five. He’s a nice guy who is loved by his subordinates, especially his vice-captain, Momo Hinamori. However, during the chaos of Kurosaki Ichigo (and friends)’s bid to rescue Rukia, he is revealed to be anything but the understanding gentleman who allows his vice-captain to sleep in the back of his room.
It is unearthed that Aizen, with the help of his subordinates Ichimaru Gin and Tosen Kaname, has actually orchestrated the entire event. Frustrated by his inability to progress father than he has, Aizen searched for ways to improve, and eventually stumbled up on the Hougyoku, an item created by Urahara Kisuke, that would allow a Shinigami to access their hollow powers, or the other way around. Though Urahara sealed it away, Aizen desired it, and as such, would stop at nothing till it was in his grasp. When he discovered it was sealed inside Kuchiki Rukia, and she was brought back to Soul Society, he massacred Central 46 and set things in motion when he (pretending to Central 46) ordered her executed by Soukyouku. When the time came, he faked his own death.
When he reappeared, to the shock of the rest of the captains, Ichigo, and his friends, all the pieces to his plan quietly fell into shape, and he had no problem explaining to Captain Unohana, and later Kuchiki Rukia, just how everything had gone. He’d cast suspicion on Gin on purpose, to get it off himself, then misled Momo to believe Captain Hitsugaya had killed him, and finally, eliminated both of them. With more of Urahara’s technology, he acquired the Hougyoku. Though the captains of Soul Society attempted to stop him, Aizen, Ichimaru and Tosen were retrieved by their hollow allies and whisked back to Hueco Mundo.
There, Aizen began to create his army of Arrancar - Hollows who have removed their masks and acquired Shinigami powers - to march on Soul Society, so that he could kill the King and become - essentially - God. However, first he needed Inoue Orihime, who was not precisely difficult to kidnap. Explaining to her her purpose, and amused by the friends who have come to rescue her, Aizen watches his Arrancar destroy the invades with something close to enjoyment, while counting down the days to the time where his force is ready, and he can sit on the heavens.
