Welcome to Exhaustion

Jan 12, 2008 06:34

It's a true shame I don't have an exhaustion icon. It would work so well right now. Freazing would work to, given te Cold wet weather (capitals will have to work in lue of bold for my DS screen fu is limited).

So to those I haven't said this to yet, greatings from Japan, Or to be more specific, greatings from a house located somewhere in Chiba district. To be even more specific, greatings from the Hayasi homestead -- and yes, this honestly is a house not an apartment, although plenty of the latter line the streets here.

Speaking of line, the best (and only -- literally for us financialy budgeted students) way to travel is by train. Not bullet train, but regular commuter subway-esk train. There is a rail pass one cn buy called a Suco. It's a cute little card with a tiny pinguin (SP?) on it that holds a set charge on it. As you pass through your start point, you touch the card -- be it in your wallet or not -- to the touchpoint on gate, and the system deducts the correct fair from when you swipe it at you destintion. A lot cheeper route then buying each ticket per train line... especially (SP?) when, like yours truly, you've got to hop off one company's train and onto another's.

Right, yeah, the whole train explination thingy. That reqiers more typing on my DS, which while it is by no means dificult, I'm just too tired/lazy/got actual homework to do (not really, just a different journal to do) to type out anything more.

Please leve your comments after the beep.
/beep!/

Oh yeah, and my host family rocks. More details to come later, promise!
