GAH!! Head, Meet Wall, Repeat Until Headache Subsides
Remember back when I said I had to get to school early in order to avoid banging my head against a wall during class time? Yeah. Turns out to have been a boldfaced lie.
Good point: Minor in English is halfway on its way to being declared. Major in Asian Studies is a definite, I just need the guy in charge to sign the paperwork. Which should be happening very, very soon.
Bad point: Those classes I took my freshman year over at CCCC? Yeah. Odds are looking good they’re going to count close to jack schise. If it wasn’t taken here, it won’t count towards a breadth requirement. And I need breadth requirements -- in addition to the stuff I’ve got to take for my Major and Minor (all in all, the Major and Minor aren’t going to be problems at all. It’s all the extra stuff that make this a Liberal Arts college that’s proving to be a pain). I’m going to have to book it to the registrars office right after lunch (which is in about a minute) and proceed to figure out what classes can fit in which holes and make sure I can graduate in ’09. And, damn it, last time I talked to them it was like looking at Calculus without having a math background. Summer classes are a strong for the near future. It’s annoying but true.
Non-School related: I’m going to be earning $20 this week writing two articles for the school newspaper. One’s on an online videogame Tales of Pirates (got good internet connection? Give it a try!) and the other is on the evolution of Transformers into its movie incarnation. Given I’ve got a word limit of 700 or less, I’m going to be covering the cartoon alone. Not going to have a problem with it a-tall.
Oh, yeah, I forgot to mention. I’ve got a time limit to get my schedule figured out. If Plan A involving Intro to Creative Writing falls through, I’m going to need a Plan B ... which doesn’t exist at the moment... And I’m going to need it approved, set, and implemented by Tuesday. That is, this coming Tuesday, September 11. Along with turning in all my Major and Minor declaration stuff. Or else I’m up crap creek without a paddle.
.....Duo-chan...? If you’re reading this, can you send me all the different version of Evolution you’ve got? I think I’m going to need the comfort music real soon....
Oh, yeah, true good news this time. I’m coming home for the weekend. We can meet and keep me from spontaneously combusting over the weekend sometime. I hope.
Anyway, I need to go eat lunch. Forgive the rant above.
