Attached is the new version of the HoPP chapter. I'm afraid you will have to read the whole thing, as no part of it has been left untouched. In a true masterpiece of brevity and organization, I have cut it to about half its original word count while actually adding conceptual substance. I don't think it suffered much; the supporting material I cut was right for the emotion wonks who will be reading HoE, but perhaps not the more diverse audience for HoPP.
It's still over the limit by 2,000 words, but it seems like Shane is open to that. If not, I'll just find a big section to cut.
Let me know what you think at your earliest convenience (by which I mean, if you leave it until after new year's, I won't exactly be crushed).
