I found this on wikipedia and really liked it. I justify posting it here with the thought that it might someday save a friend from death at the hands of an enraged Irishman.
Bonus wikipedia factoid: This is an Euler diagram, not a Venn diagram. Venn diagrams always depict every possible combination of set membership, while Euler diagrams leave out empty sets (for example, there's no circle for places that are part of Wales and Jersey but not part of the British Islands, because there's no such place).
