The peplab went to dinner at a New Mexican restaurant. Shortly after arriving, I started getting a painful, cramping stomachache. I've only had that kind of stomachache a few times in my life, and I realized that one of them was the one other time I've been at a New Mexican restaurant in Albuquerque! All I'd eaten at that point was chips and salsa, and half a margarita. The chips did have an unusal hue and thickness... so I made off with a handful of them, so I could try them later and see if the same thing happened.

I told this story to some of my UNC labmates, and then...

I knew I was in the right kind of company because it wasn't inappropriate for me to talk about having a stomachache.
I knew I was really in the right kind of company because they understood why I'd want to respond the way I did.
I knew I was really in the right kind of company when they also related it to the appropriate xkcd strip.
