The best project ever

For my music history class, I was instructed to create and perform a live soundtrack to a 2 min video clip. The example was a commercial advertisement (unclear what for) accompanied by a guy with a blowtorch and a chunk of meat. Yes, this would be a very educational experience.

I decided, of course, to choose a Star Trek clip. I picked the very important moment in "Emissary" when Sisko discovered the wormhole to the Gamma Quadrant. Then I came up with some crazy harp music to play over the clip. Since I'm not really a composer, I meshed together bits of music I knew and felt appropriate. The odd combination included parts of Britten's "Ceremony of Carols", Pratt's "The Little Fountain", and McDonald/Wood's "Haiku for Harp". Although I am unclear what value this project served (other than to inspire my creativity), it was quite an enjoyable experience.
