The things you were reading off? How can you know that they're more real than our town?
We went to the same school. [Admittedly, she was a few years ahead of him, but still.] You would turn me in for skipping class all the time at the Academy, not at some Hogwarts...
It was... [This is disconcerting. He could have sworn he'd only gone to school in Mayfield.] Boring. Everyone took themselves way too seriously, but what else could you expect? Most of them were Harmonian.
[Oh, another one of those dreadful pauses.]
...no way. That can't be. At least you remember things from a place that exists on a map!
Okay. An answer to that pops right into his head. That was unexpected.]
You know that one guy that no one ever likes because he thinks he has some right to touch everyone else's stuff? The Kingdom of Harmonia is that guy and a lot of the same can be said for its people.
[He shakes his head.]
But it's too ridiculous to be real, too. I've been in Mayfield my entire life and I remember a whole lot more of that than whatever this is.

Of course I'm not! If you weren't being so thick you'd be able to see it for yourself, Caesar.

I'm thick? You're the one claiming to be a witch.
It's the Fourth of July. Why don't you go and take a break for once? All that work you do must have finally fried something.

I didn't claim anything. I read something that's a fact.
[Well it sounded nice, but--] Because doing absolutely nothing will get us no where. Mind you I have no reason to celebrate an American Holiday.

[An uncertain pause.]
I'm well aware, but there's proof before me I can't deny.

[She frowned.] Academy? Caesar, there's only the public schools here in Mayfield. No academy.

[There's an awkward pause as he struggles with that.]
No, no, you're right. Mayfield doesn't have any academies. I don't know where that idea came from.

[Hermione's frowning.]
Probably the same as my own. Try thinking of the academy a bit more.

On a map, perhaps, but the rest of it is just as absurd. Continue, Caesar, what else is there? Who are Harmonians?
Everyone's memories are so different they can't be fake.
