[ they're nearly out of old aperture when it finally happens: chell makes a mistake. perhaps she didn't look close enough at the path she meant to fall, or perhaps something was knocked loose by her movement, but the reason makes not a whit of difference -- her leg is snagged by wayward root or tangled wire as she's going down, and for once she doesn't land safely on her feet.
