Everybody wants to rule the world.. thecrazyjoey January 18 2006, 16:43:12 UTC
A very fractional off the top of my head response..

Its the exact same principal as bad memories being easier to remember than the good ones. If you have a group of people, the media (which is the main source of "information" for most people) will single out the bad aspects because it gets them ratings. Bottom line is that is what the impressionable fools on the other end of the tv set or printing press will remember. Why is it that I can help so many people out, but the only thing they can remember about me is the one bad thing I've done? Because they were taught to earmark the bad, and pass off the good as something insignificant. Then theres the whole one person thinking they are better than the others thing, but thats not something I want to get into just yet. I would blame it predominately on the Christians and Catholics, but everyone no matter what or who is guilty of it in some way shape or form. On the personal side, I dont feel I am any better than anyone religiously, but I feel that I am better than people who are addicted to drugs, but willing to help them get past that if they really want to. It just drives me nuts that barely anyone is willing to help anyone else, and the people that do help MOSTLY, but not completely nor everyone, do it for further gain on their end. People in general are out for number one, and nothing else it seems. Which is why I think theres so many divorces, broken families, and corruption. I like posts like this, sparks good conversation :-).
