Right now I'm applying to enter a BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing) fast-track program after I finish my bachelor's degree at St. Greg's. The BSN program is 11 months long and I'd have my nursing license after that. After I finish, I'm planning on working for a few years and quite possibly putting Kent through school. After he's done with his schooling, I haven't decided what I want to do.

I might go to graduate school and get my Masters as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or I might decide to give med school a shot. Or I might become an NP and then an MD. There's all kinds of options. I've also thought about working my way up to a PhD in nursing so that I can eventually teach. There's a *huge* shortage of people who are qualified to teach nursing classes on a university level. And I think teaching would be something nice to do later on in life when I feel like I'm too old to actually do patient care on a day to day basis.

I more or less just have about the next year and a half of my life planned out. After that point, I have a bunch of ideas and options, but nothing anywhere near solid.

Yeah... it really is too bad that the standard uniform for a nurse is now a set of scrubs. But Halloween is another topic altogether. ^_~
