Update
I was unable to participate in the riding portion of my exam. I made it through an hour and a half of the class and during a tight maneuver I felt unstable and put my leg down hard. The shooting pains up my leg told me that my knee had had enough. I limped back to my car and put my brace back on accepting defeat. Everyone was incredibly nice about it and they're going to try and get me a spot to redo the driving portion. I'm properly installed back on the couch recooperating. My pride kept me off my crutches today and I feel I may have made things slightly worse in the recovery aspect. Oh well, live and learn! I've waited 24 years for my motorcycle license, I suppose another month won't hurt anything.
