magic moment
so yeah, the other night i was walking around a pond with this guy, brendan. the weather had cleared up for a bit, but like everday this summer, it had just rained. the moon was out, the night was warm, the breeze light, and the water still. ah, beautiful. the path meandered under the trees and past some incredibly affluent households. there were some little puddles we saw as we were walking, but all of them were passable. then we came to a massive one that covered the whole path. i started walking to the side to go on the edge of the path where the water would be shallowest. i didn't make it two steps before i was whisked off my feet. without a word and without missing a beat brendan picked me up and carried me as he walked through the puddle getting his own feet soaking wet. he set me down on the other side and said he was sorry he had to do that, but he didn't have a jacket to put over the water.
my goodness, doesn't that just make you melt?
it was straight out of a classic black and white movie where he was cary grant and i was his obscenely lucky female co-star rendered speechless by such an authentic gentleman.
i know i shouldn’t get involved in a relationship right now, with me leaving for college in a month and all, but come on. he’s amazing. haha and i just can’t resist stuff like this.
