Normally, I really like my job. I work in a nerd store, how can I not? But the last three days have been really boring. Due to obvious reasons with volcanoes and airplanes, our shipments have been delayed - and when they got here, the upstairs computer crashed, so we couldn't register the new stock. And April is a slow month. Meaning that all I've

In the mean time!
I don't know what kind of store you work at exactly, but I think I can guess, and... yeah, I second the lady. I actually do know of some stores that sell one or two types of nerdy stuff, but it is extremely easy to get the impression that even those don't exist. I only managed to find them because I have a habit of roaming the city whenever I have an especially excessive amount of free periods in between lectures.
The most common type seem to be comic book stores, which often have a seperate manga corner these days. I know one of those in Amsterdam's "China Town" that also sells related merchandise, and one in Utrecht (another big city), but hell if I remember where in Utrecht. Then there's the tiny sci-fi and fantasy merchandise store in Amsterdam that nearly made my brain explode because it sold anything from gundam model kits to 1:1 scale R2D2 replicas to Gizmo plushies. I tried finding it again twice and failed. There's a fantasy paraphranelia & costume shop near the royal palace in Amsterdam and a LARP/Dungeons & Dragons/assorted similar geekery store in a cellar-like shop down by a Utrecht city moat...
I stumbled on pretty much all of the ones I know by complete accident, and most of them are tiny and specialize in only one or two areas of geekery. Also note that Amsterdam and Utrecht are two of Holland's largest cities. You'll be hard-pressed to find any shops like this in smaller cities or towns. I've come to think it's easier to just look for a nerdy corner in regular book or video or toy stores. The largest collection of manga I've ever seen down here was actually in The American Bookstore in Amsterdam. They have a HUGE sci-fi and fantasy section too, and stuff like Shonen Jump in the magazine racks. And this reminds me, I need to go back to the FAME multimedia store near there to see if they still have all that anime in the basement...

Sounds like you guys actually have more, but more spread out. And only in big cities. You only find my store in the bigger towns as well, but, well, it's Norway. "Big" for us when it comes to settlements aren't particularly big.
I mean, I live in Bergen, which is the second largest city in Norway - with a little over 250 000 inhabitants.
