Nanoha stuff
Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha and its subsequent seasons is the sort of show where I don't have the inclination to either read or write fic. On the other hand, I do love a good fanvid for this show. Especially StrikerS (third season, for those of you who're uninitiated) is very vidable, it seems.

I got as far as Lindy = Good Mother and working for the Good Guys of the TSAB, while Precia = Criminal (and a BAD BAD Mother, but they didn't know that then) and Takamachi Parents = Muggles, therefore, Chrono at the front lines = Okay, but Nanoha or Fate in the same position = Not Okay. Then I got distracted by the pretty explosions and stopped worrying about it. And when StrikerS started putting all the emphasis on strategy and training instead of prodigal persons of mass destruction, things had gotten normal enough for the connection to mostly escape me.
You're right, though, and it makes sense. Gah! Timeskips are evil. I wonder what Nanoha's parents thought of her daughter picking up Mid-Childa's attitudes toward children on the workfloor. Fourteen is still awfully young to be an active participant in a (quasi-)military organisation. Though on the other hand, Nanoha's siblings practice kendo and stuff, and her parents seemed a-okay with her going off to retrieve Jewel Seeds. Hmmmmm.
But despite the fertile soil in those areas, what I'm really hankering for is sweet fluffy fic about Vivio and her mamas. *goes off to raid FFN*
I'd point you in the direction of some Nanoha icons, but it is proving a little hard considering I can't find a damn thing with LJ's new search engine. >.<;;
